All 4 H.O.T. riders easily qualified for the night program but were all placed into the same heat race. Extensive testing in the week leading up to Daytona proved to be time well spent when the #505 Sean Lipanovich ripped the hole shot in the first heat, followed closely by teammate #36 Darryn Durham.
